Pendo Pricing in 2026: Plans, Costs, and What's Actually Included

If you've asked Pendo's sales team for a number and gotten "let's set up a call" instead of a price sheet, that's standard practice for the category, not something unique to Pendo. Like most enterprise digital adoption and AI onboarding platforms, including Worknet, Pendo doesn't publish pricing above its free plan. The final number depends on monthly active users, the functionality you choose, and your implementation needs. That's normal for quote-based enterprise software, but it does mean "pendo pricing" is one of the most searched terms in the category, because buyers want to understand the shape of the cost before they get on a call.

This post walks through what Pendo publishes about its plan structure, the factors that typically shape a quote, and what it looks like to get a DAP live versus getting an AI-native onboarding agent live instead.

What Are Pendo's Pricing Tiers?

As of September 2026, Pendo's pricing page lists a Free plan and three paid plans: Base, Core, and Ultimate. Only Free has a listed price. Base, Core, and Ultimate all show custom pricing, with a "request pricing" or "request a demo" call to action rather than a number.

The Free plan covers up to 500 monthly active users and includes product analytics, in-app guides, and Pendo-branded roadmaps and NPS surveys. It's a reasonable way to validate whether product analytics plus guides is the right category fit before talking to sales.

Pendo describes its pricing as a combination of two things: the number of monthly active users you track, and the functionality you choose as part of your plan. Which specific capabilities sit in Base versus Core versus Ultimate isn't published as a fixed feature matrix with prices attached, so the only reliable way to know what your tier includes is to scope it with their team directly.

Pendo also lists Novus, an AI-native product currently offered as a free beta. If you are evaluating Pendo specifically because you want AI-driven in-product guidance rather than authored tours, ask where Novus sits relative to the paid tiers and what happens to it commercially after beta, because that answer materially changes what you're buying.

What Typically Shapes a Pendo Quote?

A few factors commonly move the final number, and they're worth budgeting for before you get on a call.

Monthly active users. Pendo prices primarily on MAU tiers. A team growing from 10,000 to 25,000 MAUs, a normal trajectory for a scaling SaaS product, can move into a higher pricing band without adding a feature.

Which functionality is in your plan. Because packaging is set per plan rather than published as a fixed list, capabilities you assume are included, session replay and feedback are the usual examples, may sit in a higher tier or be scoped separately. Worth asking about explicitly and in writing when you scope a quote.

Multi-product or multi-app licensing. If your company has more than one product surface, a web app and a mobile app, or separate products for different segments, ask whether each is licensed separately. This is a normal enterprise-software licensing pattern, not specific to Pendo, but it's easy to underbudget for if you assume one license covers everything.

Implementation time. Getting an enterprise-tier deployment fully configured, segments, guide targeting, permissions, integrations with your CRM or support stack, is a real project. Depending on scope and whether you use professional services, this can take anywhere from a few weeks to a couple of months. That's calendar time, and often a services conversation that's separate from the software quote itself.

Is Pendo a Good Fit for a Mid-Market SaaS Team?

For a team that needs mature product analytics alongside guide-building, and wants an established platform with a large integration ecosystem, Pendo is a reasonable choice, and its analytics depth is genuinely strong.

Where it's worth thinking harder is if your core problem is faster time-to-value for new users or reducing support ticket volume rather than analytics depth. Traditional Pendo guides are configuration-heavy: someone builds the tour, defines the trigger logic, and maintains it as the product changes. That's usually a dedicated admin role, which is a real cost even though it doesn't show up on the pricing page. Every DAP with rule-based, trigger-fired guides shares this maintenance characteristic. It's a category trait, not a Pendo-specific flaw, and the existence of Novus suggests Pendo sees the same limitation.

What Does an AI-Native Alternative Cost to Get Live?

This is where the comparison gets useful, not because one platform is categorically cheaper, but because the total time and effort to value looks different.

Worknet doesn't carry the same implementation runway. Teams connect existing systems, Salesforce, Zendesk, Slack, the product itself, via API or MCP, and define behavior in plain English instead of building rule-based guide logic by hand. Most deployments go live in days rather than the multi-week timeline typical of a fully configured enterprise DAP rollout. That shortens the part of the DAP buying process that costs the most in practice: the internal time it takes to go from "we signed a contract" to "this is actually helping users."

The other structural difference is proactive versus trigger-and-wait. A Pendo guide fires on a defined trigger, page load, feature flag, time-on-page. Worknet's agent monitors in-product behavior in real time and responds at the actual moment of friction, which reduces the ongoing work of maintaining guide logic as the product evolves.

Should You Get an Exact Quote Before Comparing?

Yes, and that applies on both sides of this comparison. Nothing here substitutes for getting Pendo's actual number for your MAU range and functionality needs. Pricing and packaging change over time, and a quote-based model means any figure cited here would be stale within a quarter. Worknet is quote-based too, for the same reason most platforms in this category are: final cost depends on scope, systems connected, and usage.

What's stable is the set of questions. Budget for MAU growth moving you into a higher band. Ask directly which capabilities are in the plan you're quoted, in writing. Ask whether multi-app licensing applies to your setup. Ask where an AI-native option like Novus sits commercially if that's what you actually want. And budget real internal time for implementation regardless of which platform you choose. Those questions get you most of the way to an accurate total cost before you sign anything, on either side.

What is Worknet?

Worknet is an AI adoption agent for the software your customers use and the software your employees use. It sits with every user inside the app, offering proactive support and onboarding. It answers with context, acts on the user's behalf within the permissions you set, and brings in the right person from your team when needed. For SaaS companies, what it learns becomes expansion signals for sales, risk alerts for success, and fixes for product. For IT, it rolls out across the apps you buy with no vendor changes and shows where employees get stuck. An AI-native alternative to Pendo, WalkMe and Appcues.
